On a warm Saturday evening in Bessemer, Alabama, the life of Terence Cyril Sistrunk, a 54-year-old man from nearby Birmingham, was tragically cut short. On September 6, 2025, in the 800 block of Owen Avenue, gunshots shattered the evening calm around 8:00 p.m. When emergency responders arrived at the scene of the reported assault, they found Sistrunk with gunshot wounds. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at 8:18 p.m.
