On the night of December 6, 2018, 37-year-old African American male Mac Wayne Early was found fatally shot on Center Street near Chestnut Avenue in Bessemer, Alabama. Responding officers from the Bessemer Police Department arrived at approximately 10:00 PM and discovered Early deceased at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.
