On November 28, 2023, 19-year-old Nicholas Mitchell Norman was fatally shot during a reported home invasion in Bessemer, Alabama. The incident occurred around 1:44 p.m. in the 1300 block of Hearn Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered Norman deceased from a gunshot wound and another adult male suffering from stab injuries; the latter was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
