In the winter of 2016, the life of a 17-year-old male from McCalla, Alabama, was tragically cut short. Colt Coggins, a senior at Brookwood High School, was fatally shot on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, in the nearby city of Hueytown. His death prompted a swift investigation by local law enforcement.
