On May 12, 2024, at approximately 11:58 p.m., 37-year-old Franklin James Walker was fatally struck by a vehicle while walking in the 1000 block of 19th Street North in Bessemer, Alabama. The driver involved was hospitalized with unspecified injuries. Walker was pronounced deceased early the following morning.
