On April 10, 2021, 18-year-old Orlando Keith Williams Jr. was fatally shot at the Comfort Inn hotel on Academy Lane in Bessemer, Alabama. The incident occurred just after 11 p.m., with officers discovering Williams in a second-floor hallway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
