In the late hours of a Thursday evening in Bessemer, Alabama, tragedy struck a road crew working on Interstate 59/20. Patrick Todd Jackson, a 58-year-old male from the nearby community of Sterrett in Shelby County, was on the job at mile marker 11 around 9:30 p.m. on September 9, 2021.
