In the late hours of a Monday night in Washington, D.C., a burst of violence shattered the peace. On April 4, 2022, Michael Lee Davis, a 41-year-old man, was inside a residence in the Fort Totten neighborhood when he was shot. The incident occurred at approximately 11:52 p.m. in the 4800 block of North Capitol Street NE. Emergency services responded to the scene, and Davis was rushed to a local hospital to be treated for his life-threatening injuries.
