In the late evening hours of Wednesday, September 17, 2003, the life of Lydell Jones, a male resident of Washington, D.C., was tragically cut short. At approximately 9:50 p.m., in the 3600 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest, the sound of gunfire pierced the night. When the chaos subsided, Jones had been fatally shot.
