On the night of Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the life of 40-year-old Lowell Trueheart, a resident of Southeast, D.C., was tragically cut short. At approximately 10:30 p.m., officers from the Sixth District of the Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 3500 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Trueheart lying on the ground, unconscious and not breathing, having sustained apparent gunshot wounds.
