In the late summer of 2016, a brazen daytime shooting in the Anacostia neighborhood of Southeast Washington, D.C., claimed the life of 17-year-old Kevin Anthony Jackson II. The incident unfolded on the afternoon of September 1st, in the 1900 block of 16th Street SE. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire around 2:15 p.m. and discovered the young male suffering from a very serious gunshot wound.
