On July 17, 2015, Bryan Perkins, an 18-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., was tragically shot and killed in the 600 block of Edgewood Street, Northeast, at approximately 9:10 p.m. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of gunfire and found Perkins suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
