On January 8, 2020, at approximately 11:31 PM, Malick Cisse, an 18-year-old resident of Northwest Washington, DC, was shot and killed in the 1300 block of 7th Street, NW. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene and found Cisse suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
