On Thursday, March 30, 2023, a homicide occurred in the 1500 block of Kearny Street, Northeast, Washington, D.C., resulting in the death of 36-year-old Deandre Holmes.

At approximately 9:46 pm, officers from the Fifth District of the Metropolitan Police Department responded to the location following reports of gunshots.
