In the spring of 2023, the life of 36-year-old De Andre Chap Holmes was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire in his own Washington, D.C. neighborhood. On the evening of Thursday, March 30th, at approximately 9:46 p.m., the sounds of gunshots echoed through the 1500 block of Kearny Street, Northeast, prompting residents to alert the authorities.
