In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Washington, D.C., a young life was tragically cut short. Just after 4 a.m. on August 26, 2023, the sound of gunshots pierced the quiet of the 2000 block of 10th Street, Northwest. Responding officers discovered a chaotic scene, finding 18-year-old Keni Edwards of Southeast, D.C., suffering from a gunshot wound. Another man was also found at the scene with a graze wound, but his injuries were not life-threatening.
