On March 31, 2005, Shawn Salim was tragically shot and killed at approximately 8:18 pm in the 2200 block of T Place, SE, Washington, D.C. Police responded to reports of gunfire and found Salim with fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Metropolitan Police Department classified the case as a homicide and began an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the shooting.
