In the late hours of a Tuesday night in Washington, D.C., a burst of gunfire shattered the peace in the Brightwood neighborhood. When the echoes of the shots faded, two young men lay dying, and a third was wounded. One of the deceased was Sefjuan Jones, a 22-year-old male from Nashville, North Carolina. The incident unfolded just before midnight on October 10, 2017, in the 6200 block of Eighth Street NW.
