In the evening hours of Friday, April 10, 2026, the sounds of gunfire shattered the quiet of a street in Southeast Washington, D.C., tragically ending the life of a young man. Deangelo Scott, a 25-year-old male resident of the area, was discovered suffering from a gunshot wound in the 3000 block of 30th Street. The incident occurred at approximately 8:34 p.m., prompting a rapid response from the Seventh District officers of the Metropolitan Police Department.
Upon their arrival at the
scene, officers found Scott with an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel from D.C. Fire and EMS were quickly dispatched and attempted to perform life-saving measures. Despite their efforts, Deangelo Scott was pronounced dead at the location of the shooting.
