In the early hours of a Monday morning in November 2013, the life of 22-year-old Sephar Jean-Simon was tragically cut short. A Black male from Silver Spring, Maryland, he was fatally stabbed on November 18, 2013, in the 1200 block of Connecticut Avenue NW, in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The incident occurred around 2:10 a.m. following a large fight that broke out on the sidewalk.
