In the early morning hours of a cold winter day in Washington, D.C., the life of a young man was tragically cut short. On Thursday, December 20, 2001, at approximately 1:30 a.m., 19-year-old Christopher Malik Thomas was found inside a vehicle that had crashed into a brick wall in the 5600 block of Southern Avenue SE.
