In the afternoon hours of May 7, 2024, a residence in the 3400 block of 25th Street, Southeast, Washington, D.C., became the scene of a fatal shooting. Tremain Nicholson, a 42-year-old Black male, was found by Metropolitan Police Department officers inside the home, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the arrival of DC Fire and EMS, Nicholson was pronounced dead at the scene.
