In the early morning hours of Sunday, February 2, 2025, a sense of unease settled over a block in Southeast Washington, D.C. At approximately 3:03 a.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the 2400 block of Martin Luther King Jr., Avenue, Southeast, following a report of a shooting.
