On May 15, 2023, at approximately 4:15 p.m., Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3900 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Southwest, Washington, D.C. Upon arrival, they discovered 64-year-old Christopher Callahan, a Southeast D.C. resident, suffering from a gunshot wound.
