In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Washington, D.C., tragedy struck on June 25, 2023. At approximately 1:00 a.m., in the 3400 block of 22nd Street in the Southeast quadrant of the city, gunshots shattered the night's quiet. When officers from the Seventh District of the Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene to investigate the reported shooting, they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was identified as 28-year-old Atorrin Tyndle, a resident of
Washington, D.C. Despite the quick response of DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services, their efforts were in vain. After finding no signs of life, Mr. Tyndle was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch are actively investigating the killing of the adult male. As of now, the case remains unsolved, and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the shooting. The police are urging the public to come forward with any information they might have regarding the incident and are offering a substantial reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Mr. Tyndle's death.
