In the winter of 2019 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the life of 20-year-old Tenacious Harris, a Black / African American male, was cut short in a burst of violence that left a community searching for answers. On the evening of Tuesday, February 19, police were called to the 1800 block of A Avenue NE after reports of gunfire echoed through the neighborhood. In an alley, they discovered shell casings, the silent remnants of the incident.
