On the evening of February 2, 2025, Leslie Yount, a 44-year-old African American woman, was fatally shot inside her apartment at Parthenon Towers, a public housing complex near Centennial Park in Nashville, Tennessee. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m., prompting a swift response from officers of the Midtown Hills Precinct.
