In the early morning hours of September 28, 2015, the life of 36-year-old Samantha Crumpton, a mother of two teenage children, was tragically cut short inside her own apartment in South Nashville, Tennessee. Residing in the Waterford Crossings apartment complex on Old Franklin Road, Crumpton was fatally shot.

Her boyfriend, Marcus A. Lewis, was identified as the individual who fired the weapon. Lewis claimed to have mistaken Crumpton for an intruder. He told authorities that he believed h ...
