On a Tuesday afternoon in Nashville, Tennessee, a seemingly minor traffic incident on Interstate 65 escalated into a fatal encounter for 46-year-old Kerry Willerton. The white man was driving on I-65 north, between the Trinity Lane exit and the I-24 split, when his vehicle was struck from behind by a white pickup truck. Following the collision, both drivers pulled over to the side of the interstate. An altercation ensued, and the driver of the pickup truck shot Willerton.
