On a Friday morning in Nashville, Tennessee, a discovery was made that would leave a community searching for answers. On May 26, 2017, Vian Ahmed Kasim, a 31-year-old Kurdish woman, was found deceased in her white Kia Soul. The vehicle was parked at the Swiss Ridge Apartments on Swiss Avenue, a place where she did not reside. An investigation revealed that she had been fatally shot.
