Kenyauta Vesey-Keith, a 23-year-old from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was fatally shot on June 11, 2023. The incident occurred outside Poppa n Tommyz, a bar and restaurant located at 1323 First Avenue SE in Cedar Rapids. Vesey-Keith was found on the ground near the main entrance of the establishment with multiple gunshot injuries after police responded to a call about shots fired. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
