On the evening of May 13, 2022, Jordan Maddox, a 24-year-old male from Hartford, Connecticut, was killed in a targeted shooting. The incident occurred in the city's North End and marked Hartford's 14th homicide of the year.
Reports from that Friday night indicate that police were alerted to gunfire on Bellevue Street at approximately 9:13 p.m. While responding to the scene, officers discovered a car that had crashed into a parked vehicle near the intersection of Sanford Street.
Inside the crashed vehicle was Jordan Maddox, who was found unresponsive. Despite life-saving measures performed by officers until emergency medical services arrived, Maddox was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators determined that Maddox had been shot while in his vehicle.
