On May 26, 2015, at approximately 11:15 p.m., 23-year-old Alexis Marrero was fatally shot inside Ciales Grocery store at 616 Maple Avenue in Hartford, Connecticut. Responding officers found Marrero suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and hand. He was transported to Hartford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:55 a.m. on May 27.
