In the early morning hours of December 20, 2014, a tragic event unfolded in Hartford, Connecticut, that would cut short the life of 23-year-old Hispanic male, Hiram Sito Martinez. He was in a car with another man, Dederick Jiminez, near Colt Park when the promise of a new day was shattered by the sound of gunfire around 5:30 a.m. The shooting left Martinez with fatal injuries and Jiminez wounded.
