On November 24, 2024, 37-year-old Tyler McGinty from Houston, Texas, was fatally shot during a transaction involving the sale of a PlayStation 5. McGinty had listed the gaming console online for $350 and arranged to meet a potential buyer at a hotel located at 3850 Wilcrest Drive. During the meeting, he was shot in the head and subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead on November 28, 2024.
