On May 31, 2024, 37-year-old Shaun Michael Rhea was fatally shot in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. Originally from Long Beach, Mississippi, Rhea had been experiencing homelessness in Memphis. In the early morning hours, he was attacked outside the Courtyard Marriott on Main Street.
