Jerome Dodson, a 20-year-old African American male from Memphis, TN, died on December 14, 2015, from multiple gunshot wounds. The incident occurred when Dodson and his accomplice, Demetrius James, attempted to sell designer handbags they had stolen from a GMC Yukon SUV. The SUV's owner, Darrell Wren, had arranged a meeting with the two men via Facebook to retrieve his vehicle and the stolen items.
