Murdered

On July 31, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Memphis Police Department officers responded to a shooting incident on Interstate 55 near East Brooks Road. Upon arrival, they discovered a vehicle riddled with bullet holes and the body of 20-year-old Yousef Ziyadeh inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The northbound lanes of I-55 were closed for several hours as investigators processed the scene, eventually reopening around 5:15 a.m.
