In the late hours of a January night in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 10-year-old Dameon Chalmers was tragically cut short. On January 4, 2021, while standing outside his home in the Hyde Park neighborhood of North Memphis with a family member around 11 p.m., a single gunshot broke the stillness of the evening.
