On March 24, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) officers responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 3500 block of Arvin Drive, located in the North Division of Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon arrival, officers discovered 35-year-old Ramon Ernest Azular III with apparent gunshot wounds; he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
