On the night of March 28, 2024, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) officers responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 500 block of Blendwood Drive, located in the North Tryon Division of Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 38-year-old Jabron Jamal Collins suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention, Collins was pronounced dead at the scene.
