On November 16, 2023, at approximately 11:30 p.m., 25-year-old photographer Kadeem Cole Lamont was fatally shot in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Villa Court in Charlotte, North Carolina. Originally from Georgia, Lamont was in Charlotte for business at the time of the incident.

Upon arrival, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) officers found Lamont deceased at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound. The suspect had fled prior to their arrival. The investigation ...
