On June 11, 2016, Adrian Potts, a 20-year-old man, was shot and killed in Charlotte, North Carolina, near the University City area. Potts was fatally wounded during a late-night shooting at an apartment complex, and his death deeply impacted the local community. Initially, the investigation faced challenges, but in 2018, police identified two suspects, Ferguson Laurent and Anthony Gill, as being responsible for the murder.
