On June 4, 2009, Yong Roo Hwang, a 61-year-old Korean businessman, was found shot to death inside his retail clothing store, Goldeneye Trading, located on St. Vardell Lane in Charlotte, North Carolina. Hwang was discovered by police at approximately 6:30 p.m., having suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Initial investigations suggested that robbery was the likely motive behind the crime.
