On the morning of May 8, 2025, 29-year-old Black male Jahquell Villegas was fatally shot at a Shell gas station located on West Sugar Creek Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. At approximately 5:30 a.m., Jahquell Villegas was sitting in a vehicle with his girlfriend when he was shot in the face. Despite being transported to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
