On the evening of August 24, 2023, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) officers were conducting a routine patrol in the 7600 block of Sharon Lakes Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. At approximately 9:00 p.m., they discovered a male victim with gunshot wounds in a shopping center parking lot. Emergency medical personnel arrived promptly and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
