On February 15, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., 24-year-old Jaziyah Joseph Haigbea-Boone was fatally shot in the parking lot of a gas station on Wilkinson Boulevard in Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon responding to an assist medic call, officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) discovered Haigbea-Boone with a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
