On September 9, 2023, authorities in St. Louis County, Missouri, responded to a double homicide in the city of Jennings. The incident occurred in the afternoon on West Florissant Avenue near Buzz Westfall Drive. Denetrice Jackson, a 30-year-old Black female, was traveling eastbound in a vehicle alongside 31-year-old Reginald Brandy when they were targeted by gunfire.
