In the summer of 2017, a young woman's life was tragically cut short in an act of violence that also claimed the life of another and left a third individual fighting for her life. Rachel M. Williams, a 23-year-old female from Independence, Missouri, was fatally shot on Saturday, June 3, 2017, in Kansas City. The incident unfolded at a residence located in the 3100 block of East 63rd Street. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Rachel deceased from a gunshot wound.
