On March 5, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Richmond, Virginia, resulting in the death of 22-year-old Davonte Straus. The young man was found dead in the drive-thru lane of a McDonald's restaurant located at Southside Plaza, along the 4100 block of Hull Street Road.
