In the early evening of November 5, 2022, the life of 26-year-old Ken’Twon Johnson, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Richmond, Virginia. At approximately 6:22 p.m., officers from the Richmond Police Department were dispatched to the 2500 block of Lancelot Avenue in the city's Southside following a report of a person shot. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Johnson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The subsequent investigation by the Medical Examiner's office officially ruled Ken’Twon Johnson's death a homicide. Despite the ongoing efforts of the Richmond Police Department's Major Crimes detectives, no arrests have been made in connection with his murder. The police have not publicly identified any suspects or persons of interest in the case.
In the wake of this violent act, both the family of Ken'Twon Johnson and the Richmond Police Department have made public appeals for assistance.
